Teri is thrilled to return to their childhood home and collaborate with the students, 教师, and staff at 十大菠菜台子! Before this appointment, Teri was an Assistant Professor of 音乐 剧院 at Central Michigan University. They hold a BAA in Vocal Performance from Central Michigan University (CMU) and a Master's in Opera Performance/Production from Florida State University. They are also an 校友 of the Houston Opera Studio and were conferred with an honorary Doctorate of Fine Arts from CMU in 2014.
Teri has received International recognition for their crossover abilities as an actor from Broadway/London’s West End to film/tv and concert stages worldwide. They made their Broadway debut in 锡拉丘兹男孩 and starred in London's West End as "Magnolia" in Hal Prince's Tony award-winning production of 显示船. Most recently, they starred in the National Tours of 音乐之声 ("Elsa") and the Tony Award-winning 美国人在巴黎 (“Baurel夫人”). Teri starred in tours of 音乐人 as "Marian Paroo," "Guenevere" in 卡米洛特《十大菠菜台子》(Magnolia) 显示船. They have appeared on "The Blacklist," "Law & Order SVU," "FBI: Most Wanted," and "Orange is the New Black." Internationally recognized as an interpreter of Weill, they starred as "Rose" in the film version of Kurt Weill's 街景. Teri also toured for years with Marvin Hamlisch, appeared at the Lincoln Center singing Rodgers and Hammerstein, and made regular appearances there as a part of the prestigious Meet the Artist series. Their solo CD "Into Your Arms...Love Songs of Richard Rodger's" is available worldwide.
Teri has written a musical adaptation of Colette's 谢利, which is in development for Broadway. New York City readings and Backer’s Audition have included Vanessa Williams and Paulo Szot. At CMU, they received a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Award for 你能赢, an original performance piece to empower those with visible and invisible disabilities and engage/educate the community to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community and diverse cultures and religious beliefs through song, 舞蹈和口语.
泰瑞是总统 & CEO of Broadway Pops International and has worked in collaboration with numerous symphony orchestras and festivals, including world premieres of Symphony for Elvis (with Cirque Du Soleil in Memphis) and Broadway Dreams (with the Kurt Weill Festival in Dessau, 德国). Teri is Program Director for 百老汇艾尔蒙特， a summer musical theatre intensive in Italy, and is committed to telling the stories of immigrants and underserved communities. They are also an advocate for blind casting with relation to race, gender and sexual orientation and write on 调性，而不是类型.
